Our Destination Wedding: Jamaica Will Always be Ours

Welcome to paradise!

When we got engaged, T and I were back and forth deciding on wedding venues. The biggest challenge was that his family was in England, mine in Florida. As we researched venues, priced flowers, videographer, photographer, venue, food, and the rest, we realized that the amount for a local wedding rivaled a down payment for our first house… so plans changed.

It turns out our wedding was included with our honeymoon, through the Sandals Weddingmoon package. My dream bouquet of colorful, tropical flowers and photography was amazingly affordable. The food and beverages were included, and the location was truly unbeatable!

Sandals South Coast, Jamaica, formerly Whitehouse, is located in the remote region of Westmoreland, roughly 90 minutes from Montego Bay airport. The staff was so lovely, and the spa experience preparing for the wedding was unrivaled! While T got a Swedish massage, my hair and makeup was done to perfection! My stylist transferred the photo I shared to my typically unmanageable hair, and gave me a bronzing, making sure I looked like I was in the Islands. Champagne flowed all morning, afternoon, and night. We stayed on for a week after our guests left, taking advantage of our oceanview balcony, unlimited water sports, the romantic beaches, and all the food and drink we could handle! The highlight was an exclusive beachfront dinner for 2 in the gazebo under the stars!

Even now, we get excited when we find cruises with Jamaican destinations! Our family story started there, after all! And Jamaica holds a piece of our hearts!

To plan an adults-only romance trip, destination wedding, or honeymoon, please send me a message. I’d love to help make your dream day a reality!
